I am currently in my 9th year of teaching kindergarten Spanish immersion!
While education classes begin to prepare you for the classroom, you aren't truly ready to teach until you're in front of your own group of students. Each year brings a different group of kids: different needs, a different dynamic. My teaching style is fluid. I meet the needs of my individual students and my class as a whole.
Voted World's Greatest Mom, by my son and daughter. Voted "Most Favorite Kindergarten Teacher!" by my kindergarteners.
I went about obtaining a teaching degree in a backwards sort of way. I received my 4 year degree in Spanish, and began working in Early Childhood. It was there that I realized my heart was in teaching. I began a licensure program two years out of college. My Master's Degree began shortly after that. And now, I continue to learn day in and day out with my kindergarten students.
I'm Lizzy: a wife, a mom, a teacher, and a blogger! I'm married to the greatest man. I have a son and a daughter (and, oh man, are they hilarious!). I love my job as a kindergarten teacher, and I'm slowly making my own little space on the internet as a blogger (slowly being the key word - husband, kids, and teaching come before that!). Take some time to look around and get to know the place! Be sure to check out my teaching blog: www.crazykinder.blogspot.com
