TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My first year was spent teaching half-day kindergarten. Due to my contract, I joined the team of third grade teachers for two years. Now I am happy to say that I am back as part of the kindergarten team again!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

During my first year teaching I was nominated by a student and her family for "Apples For Teachers", a contest hosted by local radio group. It was amazing being recognized as a top ten finalist. I was nominated last year for our districts "Teacher of the Year" award by another student. The nomination letter simply stated "because she likes pink and Disney too" as the reason for the nomination. :-)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Lincoln University in 2005 with a degree in Elementary Education and an area of concentration in Instructional Technology. My love for using technology in the classroom led me to William Woods University, where I obtained my Masters in Teaching and Technology.
