TEACHING EXPERIENCE

1) Relationships are important: I strive to make a positive connection with every student I teach. 2) Efficiency: I strive to be organized and produce quality work that I can use again and adapt for future years. 3) Well-being: I realize that I need to take care of my personal needs in order to be the best teacher for my students. 4) Teach with Heart: Most importantly I need to teach the curriculum and valuable life skills with an open mind and loving heart.

I am an experienced and passionate educator who aspires to collaborate with and provide encouragement, materials, and training to other educators. I have worked in both the general education and exceptional education settings with grades K-12. Some of my research examined the impact of physical activity breaks and mindset education with first-grade students on student perseverance as an element of grit.
