TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Exceptional Needs Specialist. I have K-6 Elementary Education certification and PK-12 Special Education certification. I have taught Special Education for 9 years, working with all different grade levels, Pre Kindergarten through High School

MY TEACHING STYLE

Teaching should be fun, hands-on, and within the child's zone of proximal development. It is our job as teachers to differentiate every standard and lesson to meet each child's abilities and needs. Students should be involved in setting goals for their education.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am a National Board Certified Teacher, NBCT. I have also received honors from ETS, Praxis Series, for scoring within the top percent of all teachers who have taken the Praxis II.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education.
