TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Amy M. Ehrlich, founder of the Creative Arts Studio School of Art & Gallery (1986), is also an award winning artist and author of the children’s book,Yes, You Can Draw! In 1999 Amy was added to the prestigious list of Texas artists that work with the Texas Commission on the Arts. There she served as Resident Artist for Imagisphere Children’s Museum from 1999 to 2000 in N. Richland Hills, Texas. Amy was called to teach at Covenant Christian Academy as an art instructor in 2003, where she continues to teach grades K-8. Amy was a recipient of a Japan Fulbright Memorial Scholarship in 2007, which took her to Japan for a three-week study-tour of Japan with other educators from the United States. She was awarded a Master Teacher’s Award while teaching there. Amy was called to teach at Our Lady of Victory Catholic School in 2014 where she currently teaches art to grades PK-8. She continues to express her faith through her acrylic paintings. Amy continues to show and display her artwork through public and private venues, and through her web site, www.amymehrlich.com. She has had several one-woman shows, including Imagisphere Children’s Museum, and the Ft. Worth Botanical Gardens, among others. Amy has participated in many group shows throughout Texas, Missouri, and Connecticut. She is a signature member of the Society of Watercolor Artists, and belongs to and has won awards in the Trinity Arts Guild, the Southwest Watercolor Society, the Irving Arts Association, & the Irving Arts

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

In 1999 Amy was added to the prestigious list of Texas artists that work with the Texas Commission on the Arts. There she served as Resident Artist for Imagisphere Children’s Museum from 1999 to 2000 in N. Richland Hills, Texas. Amy is a signature member of the Society of Watercolor Artists,of Ft.Worth, TX, and the Southwest Watercolor Society of Dallas, TX,and has won awards in these and other area art groups.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Amy M. Ehrlich, founder of the Creative Arts Studio School of Art & Gallery (1986), is also an award winning artist and author of the children’s book,Yes, You Can Draw! Amy holds a BA degree in textiles and design from the University of Missouri, with additional studies in art & education from the University of Texas, in Arlington and North Texas, and the University of Phoenix with graduate hours at SAGU University in Texas.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Amy was a recipient of a Japan Fulbright Memorial Scholarship in 2007, which took her to Japan for a three-week study-tour of Japan with other educators from the United States. Amy has also traveled to draw & paint in Bali, Canada, and many European countries. Her greatest source of inspiration is her faith.
