I love being in the classroom and working with high schoolers. I am passionate about cooking and other life skills, working with teens in difficult life situations, and teaching, and this path encompasses all of it.
I am intent on treating every student with kindness, justice, and mercy. I try my very best to treat each student equally and really focus on making sure that every kid that walks into my classroom knows that s/he is loved and that I WANT to be there with them, to teach them, and that my goal is for them to leave with knowledge and tools that will give them a brighter future.
I am a fan of doodle notes, interactive notebooks, and hands-on learning. I like to lecture but keep it limited and provide guided notes to keep students engaged.

Married almost 15 years to a really great man, have 4 beautiful and unique children ages 4, 7, 9, and 14. We love movie marathons, doodling and crafts, and reading by the pool all summer!
Ecclesiastes 7-10 from The Message pretty much sums up how I feel about life.
Seize life! Eat bread with gusto,
drink wine with a robust heart.
Oh yes—God takes pleasure in your pleasure!
Dress festively every morning.
Don’t skimp on colors and scarves.
Relish life with the spouse you love
each and every day of your precarious life.
Each day is God’s gift. It’s all you get in exchange
for the hard work of staying alive.
Make the most of each one!
Whatever turns up, grab it and do it. And heartily!
