I started my experience in the field of education as a Special Needs Interventionist. I work one on one with students who have a specific disability in reading, writing, or math. Although I have training in all of these subject areas, the area I enjoy most is math.
I believe in individualized instructional practices. Every student learns differently and every student achieves proficiency at a different rate. Some students may even have to take an alternative route to achieve proficiency. My activities are differentiated to address the different rates and routes students must take to achieve proficient levels.
Graduated summa cum laude.
I attended The Ohio State University and Kaplan University.
Before I became a Special Needs Interventionist, I worked in the field of Information Technology for one of the largest computer companies in the world. During my experience at this company, I would often get requests for the technology to use with special needs children. This is ultimately what inspired me to become a Special Needs Interventionist. Whenever possible, I involve technology in my instructional practices to blend the two. Stop by my wife's store for ELA Activities- Creative To The Core
