I'm a creative writing "mentor" (workshop teacher) with Creative Writing for Children Society in the greater Vancouver area. Working authors lead multi-week (term or camp length) workshops in creative writing that finish with the publication of a group anthology (short stories) or individual "novels" (short chapter books). Each class includes a reading assignment, craft or activity, creative writing assignment, and individual feedback/"mentoring." Students range from reluctant readers to aspiring authors. I've also led breakout sessions and masterclass and participated in panels at an international literature festival (Mumbai, 2019) and various events for writers & readers.
