I attended James Madison University (JMU) for both my undergraduate and graduate years. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology for my undergrad and I am currently pursuing my graduate degree in Secondary Education, graduating in May 2017. At James Madison University I volunteered with various organizations promoting science, math, literacy, and education. I am a founding member of the National Science Teacher Association student chapter at JMU and on the executive committee. I am a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, an honors society, and invited to join the Golden Key International Honors Society.
Hobbies of mine include playing acoustic guitar, piano, acrylic painting, hiking, horseback riding, taking care of my pets, and spending time with my family. I own two crested geckos, one betta fish, and one Yorkshire Terrier. I hope to one day own a bearded dragon and invest in a larger freshwater fish tank.
