Teaching Assistant at Private PreK-5th School in Seattle, and Philosophy Instructor for Pre-College Students
I believe that teachers should strive to make every learning experience as authentic and engaging as possible. Making learning more fun, and drawing connections to real life experience, can make an incredible difference in terms of students' achievement and attitude in school. I try to draw from the things that get me excited when thinking of the work that I create. Religion, Philosophy, and even Math were all subjects that I've found excitement in. I love getting to the source of that excitement, and then sharing it with my students.

My first experience working in a school was as a volunteer philosophy instructor for children. Every day I left the classroom with a spring in my step – I knew I was doing something worthwhile. I love getting that feeling every day, and I love living vicariously through students for whom everything is so new and exciting. Outside of work I ride and tinker on motorcycles, do backwoods camping, and try to keep up on studying philosophy.
