Before and during college and graduate school, I worked for years in child care settings. Since graduate school, I have gained experience teaching children ages three to five years both with and without disabilities in an inclusive classroom, in both public and private settings. I also have experience as a service coordinator for children ages birth to three years in the field of early intervention.
My teaching style would best be described as "in the moment", as young learners need us to be on our toes in responding to the opportunities they provide us with to assist in introducing them to the world! Because of my background in inclusive classrooms, I have a great interest in making materials that are versatile and easily adapted to different ages and needs.
Nothing official but I appreciate every child-crafted gift and school photo I've ever received!
I am originally from a small, southern town where there was only one tiny public school system to attend, and what we lacked in resources was made up for by caring teachers! I attended both undergraduate and graduate school at public universities as well.
I am newly married to the kindest aerospace engineer on earth and we dream of having our own family one day. We live in northern Alabama and I am so excited to begin my journey here on TPT, providing helpful resources to all the dedicated early childhood teachers out there.
