TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a second grade teacher in rural Maine. I recently graduated with an M.Ed in literacy. I love creating interdisciplinary units and activities that stretch my students' imaginations and develop critical thinking skills.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I strive to make real-world connections between content and students' lives as much as possible. I teach thematically and try to develop activities that allow for as much student autonomy as possible.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

One of my second grade students told me that she loves class because "the learning you give us is so fun." It's the biggest honor for which I could hope!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Colby College and completed my M.Ed in Language and Literacy at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
