I am a Pre-K to 8th grade STEM teacher at a rural school in Maine. I love creating interdisciplinary units and activities that stretch my students' imaginations and develop critical thinking skills.
I strive to make real-world connections between content and students' lives as much as possible. I teach thematically and try to develop activities that allow for as much student autonomy as possible.
One of my second grade students told me that she loves class because "the learning you give us is so fun." It's the biggest honor for which I could hope!
I graduated from Colby College and completed my M.Ed in Language and Literacy at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
