TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have eight years of elementary, two years of middle school, and four years of college adjunct teaching experience.   I’ve taught grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7th. At the college level I taught Business Math, Introduction to Educational Technology, Diverse Populations, Introduction to Education, Microcomputer Applications   In my last position I was a Reading Interventionist. I'm now a middle school Reading Specialist and I teach both remedial and advanced reading to 7th grade students. I also partially homeschool my gifted daughter so she can learn on her level.   I've used just about every reading and math program out there but most of my experience is with Guided Reading! For home learning, I use Singapore Math, Real Science for Kids, and lessons I create using many things I find here on TPT.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe my role, as a teacher, is to support and build inspired learners. I like to integrate subjects and differentiate with engaging lessons. My classroom is active and alive!
