About Our Company

I have been a working artist for over 45 years now. Over that time, I have worked as a syndicated newspaper comic strip artist, an editorial cartoonist, illustrator and a product designer, amongst other artistic endeavors, including conducting art classes for schools at the elementary and middle school levels. I like to think I make a good role model for the would-be artist, because it is a subject that I did not do well in school with, despite my interest in it, nor did I take any formal training or higher education on the matter. What I did, though, was to discover the secret that would allow me to interpret, even roughly, my visions onto paper. This “secret” is one that is hidden in plain sight and is employed by all those who bring imagination to paper. Every game has its rules and if you haven’t been taught the rules you haven’t been taught the game. That’s what both my books, “How to Draw” and “Really Easy Cartooning” do – show you the “rules”, such as they are – so that you can pass them on to your students. With my books, you can make art more than “creative recess”.
