I have taught Kindergarten and now 2nd grade in Central Florida. I also work in the Education Department at The Ocala Civic Theater, so I also have a lot of lesson plans and materials for grades K-12 in the areas of Acting, Singing, Dance, Musical Theater, and Play-writing.
To me it's important to always do what meets the needs of my students. Every class will be different. Every group of students will vary. Every student is unique.
BS in Elementary Education from University of Central Florida. Class of 2014. AA in Theater Arts and Liberal Arts from College of Central Florida. Creator of Acts of Autism and recipient of College of Education Scholarship 2011.
I first attended Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL as a Theater major. I LOVE performing on stage, but I didn't care for the lifestyle and the lack of job security. I also want to start a family and settle down and with that career it can't be done. Finished my AA in Liberal Arts at Central Florida College until I decided that Education is my calling. I graduated in May 2014 with my BS in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida and begin my first year teaching Kindergarten this year!
Random Amanda Smith Facts: Daisy Designs in named after a 4 pound chihuahua named Daisy! I am married with no children (yet!) I spent 4 years of my life working in IT/Computer Repair. In my acting days, I was in 2 unrecognizable films and dozens of stage performances. I still plan on performing at community theaters when I can but Theater, for me, is a hobby and a passion... not a career. I love Taco Bell.
