TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught English for twenty-six years. My experience includes Advanced Placement English Language and Composition, Advanced Placement English Literature, Honors English, College Preparatory English, and Resource English. I also taught journalism for fifteen years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I enjoy watching my students embrace their learning. Rather than lecturing for fifty-five minutes each day, I use a combination of methods so that I am not the one doing all the work! I may lecture for ten to fifteen minutes in a class; then the class will break into groups with specific assignments, go to the computer lab to work on written assignments, or read a play/novel selections aloud.
