I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist with over 19 years of experience. I have worked in a variety of settings including clinical, educational, and early intervention. Although I specialize in feeding and swallowing disorders in the birth to five population, I also work with preschool and school-age children with speech-language disorders. Many of the young children I see also have difficulties with pragmatic language and social skills, especially transitions. I have a special interest in the treatment of complex speech production disorders speech motor planning and childhood apraxia of speech.
My therapeutic style is fun, play-based, and sensory-rich. I believe that play is the "work" of childhood. I feel successful as a therapist when I can incorporate a therapeutic goal into a play task in such a way that it doesn't feel like "work" to the child.
