I have been teaching for almost 20 years. For me, it is a calling. My dream was always to become a teacher...and now I am lucky enough to be living that dream!! I believe that teaching is an art form. My classroom is my creative space. I am excited to have the opportunity to share with teachers across the globe! Our job is so important! I love that we can work together! I'm also a Mommy of a Star-Wars obsessed little boy. I am very grateful to all the wonderful teachers in my son's life! Teachers are so very special!
I like to engage my students in all that I do. I believe students should be active participants in their learning....not spectators. I have a great passion for reading and incorporating technology in my classroom. I try to learn something new everyday! That's one of the reasons why I love TPT. Do you know the book character Mrs. Smith who, when she reads, actually reads the character alive? I aspire to be her!
Well, my son says that I make the best macaroni and cheese. Does that count? (Please don't tell him it's straight from the box!) My husband says that I make a mean salad. That's got to count, right?
I attended Gwynedd-Mercy College in Pennsylvania. I will be forever grateful to the professors there. They inspired me and gave me the tools I needed in order to be succesful in my own classroom.
I am currently teaching Integrated Language Arts to sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. If you are a Catholic or Christian School Educator, please visit the store below which I am working on with others. It is a collaborative effort to give back to God! All products on that site are specifically designed with the faith-based classroom in mind. The items are intended to bless you and your students. The money made from that site will go to bless people in need. https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Chalkboard-Blessings
