TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have enjoyed being a teacher since 1993. I have taught elementary level, high school and now college. I work very hard to make sure that each student enjoys coming to class every day. There are different learning styles, and that keeps me on my toes thinking of new creative ways to help the students understand the concepts and prepare them to use them in their every day life, and then use them toward attaining their goals in life.

MY TEACHING STYLE

A little bit of everything depending on what is needed for any given lesson. Calm and nurturing, to overly dramatic, but always motivating and enthusiastic, even about simple things.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a bachelor of education with TEFL/TESL certification. I taught computer software for several years before changing my focus to English. I have also taught and coached drama, computer animation, and a large variety of elective classes.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am an outdoor enthusiast. I often ride 15 miles to work through hot summers, and blazingly cold weather in fall and winter. That time on the bike gives me lots of time to think about my lessons, or projects that I think may sound down information into my students' hearts and embed it in their minds.
