My involvement in education spans 37 years, with a broad range of teaching and leadership experience in the middle and high school levels. I have acted as a teacher, department chairman, counselor, assistant principal, and principal. These roles have provided me with extensive background in ASB, athletics, master schedule construction, assessment, curriculum development, state standards alignment, safe school plans, discipline, school climate, WASC, district negotiations, campus supervision, and extracurricular activities. Throughout my career, I have crafted a reputation for creativity, a strong work ethic, and successful end results. However, my primary focus has always been a relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation in education where all students receive a quality education, in a safe setting, nurtured by committed professionals.et to be added
As an instructor, I hope to make an immediate impact on the lives of the students. Having a preconceived curriculum is always prudent. However, soliciting the needs of the students, and exploring their ideas, goals, directions, and needs allows me to create a more complete learning environment. All students arrive in the classroom with unique gifts to offer the overall educational process. If I can successfully “cultivate†these gifts, and integrate them into the daily educational process, I can illustrate the power of the individual spirit, and the collective greatness of the class. Ultimately, my accomplishments will be measured through their successes.
