I have been a teacher for over 20 years. While most of my time has been spent working with high school freshmen, high school seniors, and community college students, I have also taught 7th, 8th, 10th, and 11th grades.
I like to think of my teaching style as traditional but dynamic. If it works, I keep using it. If it doesn't, I try to find a way to change or improve it. I love helping novice teachers, and I also enjoy learning new things from teachers and students.

As an English teacher, I love to read, of course! In particular, I am a Shakespeare and a mystery buff! I also enjoy watching films, singing in my church choir, and playing guitar for the church praise team. While it has been over 25 years since I was a collegiate fencer, I still stay active by running 5K, 8K, and 10K races, and by weight training at the local gym.
