TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently in my fifth year of teaching at a residential school for students who are deaf and hard of hearing. My first year I taught a group of preschool children, but since then I've been running wild with middle school aged children. Because of my student's cognitive delays, though they are middle school aged, they function at an elementary level, so many of my products are made for them and students like them that could benefit.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is whatever it needs to be to get the job done.:) Overall, I think the combination of hands-on learning, technology manipulation, and art integration can really set a student, especially the kinds I teach with special needs, up for success. I've stood on tables and painted my entire arm to prove a point before, and I would do it all again for my kids.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My greatest honor is being known for my love for Jesus and Beyoncé by my entire school :).
