I have had the pleasure of learning from children ages 2 to 8 over the last 15 years! My career in Early Childhood began in daycare and then took me through pre-k, 1st grade, EC Special Ed, and Kindergarten. Currently, I am a Master Teacher for grades K-2 and elementary specials teachers.
My personal philosophy is that school should be a place where children learn through play. It is my job to establish a safe learning environment where children can explore and gain knowledge through hands-on projects.
Nomination for Walt Disney award - 2002; Selected to start a staff only childcare facility at my school of employment in 2009 and am now the Program Coordinator; Trained TAP cluster leader and evaluator
I obtained my BA from Elmhurst College in IL in Early Childhood Education with an endorsement in EC Special Education in 1998. My masters degree was earned from ASU in 2010 in Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction.
After moving to Phoenix in 2001, I met my wonderful husband and married in 2004. We now have 4 beautiful children under the age of 5!!! Therefore, it is a busy but blessed home!
