ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

In 2012, we wanted our kids to have a debate club at their schools. With our backgrounds in trial law, marketing, and education, we created a 12-week debate club curriculum and began teaching it as an after school program in Seattle elementary schools. Parents, PTAs, and teachers from within and outside of our district (Seattle Public Schools) contacted us asking for the program, so we wrote it all down in a way that anyone, with or without formal debate experience, could teach. The DebateAble Curriculum Package can be used within the classroom as a stand-alone unit, as a follow on to a persuasive writing unit, or as an after school club.
