I was an elementary teacher for 16 years, 9 of which were spent teaching fifth grade and the last 7 were devoted to my favorite grade, third. I am thrilled to start my new position this year as an elementary curriculum coordinator and induction coach for my district. I am especially looking forward to sharing my passion for teaching with first year teachers and hope that we can learn from each other!
I am passionate about my job and spend a lot of time reflecting on the different needs and learning styles of my students. I try very hard to actively engage each child by facilitating lessons that are focused, motivating and hands on. Not every day is a picnic but I try to put life in perspective and realize that you need to laugh each and every day!
