I have taught third, fourth and fifth grades. In a previous life, I was a research scientist but after I had children of my own and spent some time volunteering in the classroom I knew what I was truly meant to do!
I strive to be a teacher who inspires children to want to learn. I want children to wonder and question the world around them and to have the tools to find those answers. My classroom is full of activity where children learn to work cooperatively and independently - I try to do as much discovery and hands-on learning as possible. In my class, prepare to work hard, get your hands dirty, be actively involved and be able to break out into a song (and a dance)!
I am honored to be selected to attend the Mickelson ExxonMobil Teachers Academy in Jersey City, NJ July 2015! It's a dream come true!
