I love teaching and have taught preschool, kindergarten, reading, child development and first grade and I share my passion for reading with parents through the Motheread/Fatheread Program.
I've always been a teacher at heart as my sisters will attest to. Though as a child I thought teaching meant worksheets and red markers. Good thing childhood ideas can change. The grown up me believes teaching should be hands on, and fun for the students and the teachers. After all research has proven that the things we learn in life, that really stick with us, are reinforced by the emotional impact associated with them. As teachers, we are not solely educators, I believe we should be the creators of happy childhood memories within the walls of our classrooms.

Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Master Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading. Bilingual certification and studied Art throughout my undergrad years.
I grew up in an Air Force family, which helped me and my siblings become each others best friends. It was this close relationship coupled with the adventure of traveling, and artistic parents that sparked the story teller and artist in me to awaken. It's the children in my life that inspire me to write, draw, and create fun ways to do the job we do.
