I am a substitute teacher who has taught various grades for four years. I recently received my certificate to teach Elementary Education K-6 in the State of Florida. I have owned businesses with my husband spanning back thirty plus years. We owned video stores in Florida and a florist (still exists) in New York.
I like to use a more open approach with my students. I allow them to interact by using the white board, pair-share and teach each other concepts, and whole class teach and share. The more I have my students involved in their own lesson, the more committed they are to paying attention while learning the concepts they need to be successful. I use auditory, visual, and "hands-on" presentation styles to ensure that my students are being reached. Lickona, scholarly author of several character education books, states, "First you reach them, then you teach them." I believe that statement to be true.

Besides owning and operating my video stores and florist with my husband, I have also operated businesses in the USA Flea Market in Port Richey and developed my online businesses with eBay and Amazon dating back to 1999 and 2002, respectively. I still operate my Amazon store through Amazon and occasionally list on eBay.
