TEACHING EXPERIENCE

• Instructor of Biology I and Honors Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Chemistry I, Construction Chemistry. • Served on the Freshman Academy Committee. • Introduced the concept of DNA nanotechnology (researched obtained from Research Experience for Teachers at Notre Dame University) to chemistry and biology students. • Worked with other teachers to implement Tennessee state standards. • Responsible for advanced Tennessee Gateway Test scores (of the six classes taught, only four students scored below proficiency). • Designed and implemented after school enrichment intervention to students struggling with basic science concepts. • Provide credit recovery services for students who failed science courses. • Design lesson plans for students who struggle to learn science. • Provided supervision and mentoring for education internists. Taught at private church schools in Mcallen Texas and Atlanta Georgia

MY TEACHING STYLE

My style is facilitator approach to teaching. I plan my lessons and curriculum activities with a clear view to enabling my students. Evaluation of student progress is formative assessment where my students will get feedback of their development throughout the school year. I prefer whole class lesson, some class discussion and brainstorming.
