TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 15 years teaching experience mainly in first grade. I have also taught an EIP (Early Intervention Program)first grade. I have been a Teacher Support Specialist which is a mentor to new teachers and I have welcomed several practicum and student teachers into my classroom. During this time, I was not only a classroom teacher/supervisor, but also a mentor teacher. I have received training from the state of Georgia regarding Academic Coaching and worked with K/1 as a coach. I have served on the Principal's Executive Committee as grade chair. I have also worked on School Improvement Plan Committee, Literacy Committee, Media/Technology Committee, and Spirit Committee. I currently a teacher of Gifted and Talented students in an elementary school. I love teaching! "Together--We CAN make a difference."
