TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I started teaching in 1998 and am currently teaching 8th Grade Math, Earth and Space Science, Chemistry, and Physics online. I've written curriculum every year and every class I've ever taught.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Real Me: Quirky. Fly by the seat of my pants. Willing to try most ideas at least once! I love the students, am addicted to seeing the light bulb turn on, and hearing academic conversation!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have successfully written several grants for science equipment, and had a couple newspaper articles about some of my zany classroom exploits. I even ended up on the news one time.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Proud Aggie graduate from Texas A&M University with a BS in 1998 and a M.Ed. in 2003. I am certified 6-12 Science Composite and 4-8 Math/Science.

I have 3 beautiful and amazing children. Each one is different, unique, and their own person. We are animal lovers and have 2 house cats, some barn cats, 1 large dog, and 2 horses. I have an amazingly tolerant husband who puts up with my night owl tendencies and my early morning scowls. If you are up for shenanigans at 1 AM, I'm your girl!
