TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching in California public high schools for over 25 years. I am currently teaching courses in American Government, AP American Government and Economics. In the past I have taught World History, US History, Honors Economics, and ESL World History. I hold a Clear Secondary Credential in Social Science and a Preliminary Administrative Credential. In addition to my full-time position I am teaching part-time online courses in American Government, AP American Government and Economics for an local private school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe my teaching style would be described as practical and applicable. I do my best to make my Social Science lessons applicable to my student's lives. We are constantly working to take course concepts outside of our classroom - and apply them to current events and my student's daily experiences. If this is not done - all we have are "words on the page". My goal is to make our core concepts and my lessons applicable to their life experiences. I believe the lessons that I've created will show how we've been able to accomplish this goal.
