TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My early experiences stem from an engineering background with my studies rooted in logistics engineering and simulation for policy. Before I started teaching I worked as an analyst at a gaming company. My teaching background stems from an under-served school setting. Consistent routines and a robust tool kit of classroom management strategies help all students grow. My lessons are designed to work well in both challenging classroom settings and in settings where a positive classroom culture is well established.

MY TEACHING STYLE

For me, teaching is about guiding students to reach their own evidence-based conclusions. Working with at-risk students highlights the importance of clear guidance. Tools such as formative assessments and data driven instruction are essential for reflection and adaption in order to help students expand their capabilities. Specific feedback, positive reinforcement and ongoing opportunities for collaboration and reflections help students grow.
