Diamond Montessori

I'm an AMI Montessori-trained guide for the 3-6 age range, who has been in charge of her own classroom for several years now. I started making art, cultural and science materials for my own class when I couldn't find what i wanted, and then my teacher friends started noticing. I strive to provide diverse, inclusive, beautiful and scientifically accurate materials for the Montessori classroom.

My training is in Montessori and early childhood education; I like to bring in things from other disciplines and styles when it will suit the needs of classroom. I'm a fan of following the child and encouraging a love of learning.

I attended the University of British Columbia and then the Montessori Training Centre of British Columbia (an AMI training centre for 3-6), and hold both an AMI diploma and an ECE diploma.

I'm a stay at home mum currently with my first child, a daughter. I grew up in diverse and gorgeous Vancouver, British Columbia, where I met the artist who illustrates our cards, my best friend Katana Barnett.
