Diane Greene was an elementary school teacher for 22 years. She was also the Coordinator of Bilingual Teaching and the Staff Development Instructor in language arts, organizational skills, and behavioral skills. I am her cousin, Susan Diamond, a licensed speech-language pathologist who evaluated and provided speech therapy in public schools in all grades. Now I see children in my private practice and I am the author of "Social Rules for Kids". Diane and I wrote "Webs for Language" in 1992 and it was a best seller among teachers and specialists for numerous years.
Warm, dedicated, and energetic with a strong desire to see all children succeed.
Diane received recognition by the state of California for a school wide writing program. Susan was accepted to speak at the California-Speech-Language- Hearing Association (CSHA). My book "Social Rules for Kids" won the National Parenting Publications Awards.
Diane holds a Master's of Science in education. Susan holds a Master's of Arts in Communicative Disorders and a certificate of clinical competence.(CCC).
When I was young I went with Diane into her second grade classroom. I watched all her students happily engage with her. I was hooked and knew I wanted to work with children. Her inspiration lead me to become a speech-language therapist. As adults, I had the honor of co-writing "Webs for Language" with Diane to help children learn to write a paragraph. Now we have rewritten it and it is available as "Teach to Write."
