I taught English as a second language in Venezuela for one year before accepting a job in international business in the U.S. I truly missed teaching and changed careers 14 years ago. I have taught Spanish at the high school level and have led groups of students abroad. I love collaborating with other teachers, especially with the use of technology in the classroom.
I strongly believe in the constructivist style of education. My students work at their own pace and are exposed to as much authentic Spanish text and speech as possible. Lessons are generally presented in an internal flip the classroom and enrichment occurs through station work. Stations are centered arounds forms of communication, cultural awareness and vocabulary integration and enrichment.
