My name is Cruz Isidro Rodriguez and I currently hold a BFA in Art Education from the University of Texas Pan-American and recently completed my Master of Arts in EDUCATION, LEADERSHIP + EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES. I am certified in Secondary Art , Technology Applications, and Technology Education. I have been teaching at Del Valle High School for 15 years. I have taught Spanish I, Spanish II, Art I, Art II and started a Computer Graphics Lab at the High School after receiving a technology grant.
I teach both "Teacher-Centered" and "Student-Centered" Styles depending on the class being given. All courses I teach are Project Based and Real Word oriented. I am a strong believer in getting kids exposed to the online arena using various online websites and online tools. I have developed my own hybrid or flipped course for my advanced courses. I have taught as an Adjunct instructor at Austin Community College and enjoyed my experience, and I would like to teach full time at the community college level. This is the reason I have decided to pursue my Master's Degree in Education, Leadership, Emerging Technologies at Rocky Mountain College of Art.
