I have taught Math for 20 years to children and teenagers from Kindergarten through 11th Grades. I am an educational speaker at several conferences, some of which include the MMC and ICTM. I have also initiated a Math Enrichment Club for Grades 1 - 3. I have taught high school math, work with elementary teachers, and am currently a math specialist for grades 5-8. I am also an adjunct professor, teaching math methods courses at the graduate level for grades K-8 pre-service and in-service teachers.
I absolutely love teaching and love children! I am a natural-born teacher who is passionate about education and how children learn. I practically came out of the womb as a teacher! My ultimate goal is to inspire and help other teachers educate children conceptually and with meaning. It is my hope and dream to make a difference in the math education world by encouraging and working with others to bring real life math into the classrooms and into the homes of students.
I am a member of the National Council of Teachers in Mathematics and have presented at several conferences to other educators. I am a Golden Apple Award finalist.
