Author/illustrator Jackie Reynolds is an award-winning clown and entertainer who once worked as chemical engineer for Polaroid making instant film. (That career just never developed…) Now as Jackie the Magician (and Bee Bee the Clown) she entertains family audiences at summer reading shows for libraries and hundreds of performances for schools, preschools and community events each year with her unique blend of comedy magic, balloon twisting and ventriloquism. Educational summer reading shows at libraries combining magic, puppets and ventriloquism to create a show based on the annual library theme. Most recently, 2014, incorporated science, balloons and physics based on my chemical engineering background, into the show. Her children, Patrick, Tim and LeeAnn, are young adults who grew up knowing Bee Bee the Clown as Mom. She lives in the Hudson Valley of New York with her husband, Charlie, along with a herd of goats, a flock of chickens, Abby the dog and a magic bunny named Georgina.
