TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching Kindergarten for 13 years in Manhattan Beach Unified School District. I absolutely love this age group and the innocence and happiness it brings.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love giving my kids experiences that they can retell to their families when they get home. Some of my best lessons are those that involve the kids. They have so much fun "helping" me be the teacher. With my age group, modeling is key, as well as establishing an environment where kids feel safe to make mistakes, but at the same time, work hard and always do their best. I love to be silly with my class, but teach them there are times for fun and times to be serious. Overall, I try to have fun each and every day. To love what you do, and feel that it matters...how could anything be more fun!?
