Judy Armstrong, the creator of DIPL, is well known and respected for her involvement and success with children who experience learning difficulties. She became aware of the importance of helping children not only to develop good auditory and sound processing skills, but also for them to learn how to use these skills in practice when learning to spell and read. Judy was assisted along the way by teachers, Sue, Kate and Danielle.
DIPL has explicit classroom teaching programs ranging from 1st year at school to 6th year at school.
