TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Diana Pastora Carson is an educator, consultant, speaker, author and podcaster in all things DEI and Disability Awareness, or as she calls, Beyond Awareness. Her topics include disability, diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging. Diana credits her passion for this work to her brother, Joaquin, who endured years of segregated schooling and subsequent institutionalization (See her TED Talk). After many years of fighting alongside her brother for his release, Joaquin now lives a life of self-determination, inclusion, and quality, in the community, as her next-door neighbor. Diana considers herself an inclusionist and compassionate supporter of teacher learning and growth.
