I began teaching in 2012 and have taught in a full time preschool, kindergarten and 2nd grade classroom. I also have experience teaching various subjects in 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade including social studies, science, creative writing, english, and PE.
Sharing the joy of being a part of our wonderful world with my students is something that I have aspired to do. My classroom is a place where students explore and learn both with my direction and on their own. Getting students involved in the learning process is important. It helps motivate them to want to learn. It is important as a teacher to be there to instruct the students in what to do, but also to guide them on their way to being ready to do things on their own.

I graduated from Concordia University Chicago in 2012 with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my husband (also a teacher and principal) and my yorkie! I also love reading, taking pictures, and spending time outside!
