TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Preschool teacher for 10 years; public school educator for 15+ years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

A little creativity goes a long way! Student engagement is a result of teachers presenting lessons that are interesting, interactive, and with a healthy dose of humor.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

According to my students, I am "the best teacher EVER!" I don't have a dusty trophy or yellowing certificate to verify that status, but I have many handwritten notes and hugs in the hallway from former students who smile and tell tales of their fond (and sometimes not-so-fond, with an embarrassed chuckle!) memories.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a college degree, but I've learned so much more from my students. I probably owe them tuition for the lessons they've taught me.

I'm on two wheels most of the time. I read books past my bedtime. I write books in my spare time. I color in my coloring book. I draw with charcoal. (bio to be revised at a later date to include varied sentences and exquisite details)
