I have taught and loved first grade for going on 11 years! I enjoy the challenge of the diverse abilities in 1st. Teaching kiddos to read is so much fun. I'm always looking and creating more ways to keep my kids engaged in learning! We must "do good" for our firsties!
I believe in a balanced classroom. Learning should be fun, interactive, hands on, social and promote creativity! It should also teach self-motivation, self-control, kindness and respect. It's all about that balance!
