I'm very much a hands-on instructor. Students learn better when I bring my professional/consulting/expert witness cases into the classroom. All lectures are as graphic as possible and serve as outlines for class discussion and interaction. Most lectures have a significant percentage of professional experiences of the professor included.
Upon retirement, I had attained the rank of full professor in 4 disciplines. - Industrial Hygiene - Industrial Safety - Forensic Biology - Hazardous Chemical Management
AS in Medical Technology BA in Biology MS in Pollution Ecology PhD in Environmental Protection
I have been a teacher, construction worker, consultant and generally based my career as a problem solver. More that once clients have referred to me as "Sherlock Holmes" because I am rarely the first consultant or expert called into a case. It is usually after others have failed that I am retained. I expect that this is due to the multiple-disciplinary approach I take with all aspects of a problem.
