I have a Music degree emphasis on voice/piano & audio recording with a minor in Spanish language & Latin American Studies from Oral Roberts University. I have worked as a daycare worker with toddlers & school age during my teen years. I went on two trips to Latin America: 2 weeks to Guatemala in 1998 & 3 months in Mexico in 2002. I am well-learned & easily take to gathering information on any subject I wish to know more about. I am passionate about teaching my children to be life-long learners.
I tend to teach more like Charlotte Mason. I like to teach from real books for Language, Reading, History, Literature, Science, & the like. I use a creative curriculum for Math-based subject & also with Language Arts. I love interactive learning with Music, Art, Natural Sciences because when you do it or get to see what you are learning that is when it really stays with you!
I received an honors high school diploma for taking all honors classes during my four years of high school in Indiana.
I grew up in the public school system & had some good, great & horrible experiences. After graduating with an honors diploma from my high school, I set off to a private University to learn more about Music & see what Minor would be best. I graduated in 2006 with my degree in hand. I have always loved learning & even now I continue to learn about as much as I can: from Natural Homeopathy & Health to Basic Communication classes. Basically if I have a desire to know more, I research all I can to know as much as possible.
