TEACHING EXPERIENCE

The teachers behind Double Dose of Learning are a team of special educators. Kelly has been working as special education teacher for 14 years and has a literacy specialist degree as well as childhood and early childhood. Stephanie was a special education teacher for 7 years and is now a principal in an early childhood school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

We are passionate about embedding high level rigorous reading skills in all aspects of the day in order to give students the greatest opportunity possible to meet their highest potentials.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Kelly has received the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education award and Employee of the Month award, April 2011.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Kelly and Stephanie both received their bachelors degrees at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY in Childhood and Special Education. Kelly received a Masters degree from University at Buffalo in Literacy Specialist. Stephanie received two Masters degrees at Canisius College in Special Education and Administration.

We have always believed that teacher collaboration gives the students endless possibilities and that is how we started our Double Dose of Learning journey together. We LOVE what we do, and our passion for creating rigorous and engaging materials, differentiating instruction, and teaching high quality science/social studies content tied to ELA standards is evident in everything we do! Everything we create is student-based, student tested, and SUCCESSFUL with our students!!
