TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught English Language Arts at the middle school level since 2007, working hard to address the academic and social-emotional needs of my students. I took on an addition role as the Site Curriculum Specialist in 2015, mentoring teachers through various professional development opportunities. Additionally, in 2017, I began coordinating our schools AVID program. While earning my master's degree, I had the opportunity to teach lower division writing courses at the university level. Previous to my formal teaching experience, I have worked as a teacher's assistant at the middle school level, a reading tutor at the elementary school level, and a classroom assistant at a developmental center.
