Eleven years teaching adults in a correctional setting (drugs of abuse, coping methods, skills-based programs). One year teaching science at a homeschool co-op - Kindergarten and 3rd grade. Currently supplementing my daughter's school work to improve executive function skills. Seven years teaching undergraduate psychology at the University level.
For elementary kids, I focus on the repetition needed in those with executive dysfunction and ADHD. I develop worksheets that help the learner increase mental flexibility by teaching them to shift mental gears. I use technology-based instruction for adults. I write content and develop worksheets that refer to the site. Worksheets also help guide learners' thinking and are meant to stimulate further interest in the subject.

Hi! I'm a mom of an extremely energetic early elementary-aged daughter, wife, writer community volunteer and animal lover. My daughter also happens to have ADHD with executive function impairment, so I spend oodles of time getting creative in helping her hammer out basic skills to minimize her academic difficulties. I am also a licensed psychologist with a love of teaching and writing. In my work as a psychologist, I taught adults in a correctional setting - drugs of abuse, addictions, coping skills, other skills-based programs. When my daughter was preparing for Kindergarten, I taught her and a great group of homeschooled kids science weekly for one day per week of classroom learning. I used TPT for so many lessons and love the platform! For the past seven years I've taught psychology at the college level. Now I am also writing psychology-related digital content on my own and as a freelancer. Making concepts accessible to young learners and developing worksheets that help solidify understanding are my favorite parts of what I do!
